Watercolor is taught through different methods and tools : works on paper wet and dry, use masking fluid, china, or special materials in order to enrich expressive tools.

We will begin to use color with simple subjects like scketchbooks.
STILL LIFES AND FLOWERS
Through studies of flowers from life and still lifes, we’ll explores how to fade the color.

TREES, WATER

We will see how to create water and trees. Various types of paper (rough, smooth etc. …) will be used according to the subjects..
PORTRAITS
We study the figure, trying to see how to make the color of skin and its nuances.
MIXED MEDIA, SPECIAL EFFECTS
The use of other mixed materials and processes will help to find new ways of expression.


Through the use of brushes for calligraphy, china and rice paper, you can try traditional Japanese art with the fascinating “sumi-è”, which is based on a more gesture approach to painting.

A series of exercises on themes inspired from the repertoire of japanese painting(birds, bamboo, flowers. Etc …) will allow to discover the charm of this Eastern technique.
