“Isabelle’s Art Studio is located in the historic centre of Florence, near piazza S. Marco, and its mission is teach the classical, modern and contemporary Painting through various courses, an atelier where beginners or artists can develop their creativity. Jeanne Isabelle Cornière, painter and sculptor, has a triple educational background: in the History of Art, Painting and Sculpture.
The welcoming studio, equipped with professional lighting, easels, plaster cast, selected art objects and books, offers personalized teaching for small groups, with maintains quality and promotes a relaxed and convivial atmosphere with italian or international students.”

Watercolor course for adults (basic and advanced)
The course, developed gradually, is aimed at beginners or more advanced persons who wish to acquire the watercolor technique and discover some tricks : work on wet paper, use of specific brushes, and more particular materials. Starting from simple subjects we’ll work on different themes
Schedule : monday 6:00-8:00 p.m – tuesday 6:40-8:10 p.m -wednesday 6:40-8:10 p.m – friday 10:00-12:00 a.m.

Pastel course for adults (basic and advanced)
The course is aimed at beginners or more advanced students who wish to master the hard or soft pastel technique. We’ll explore which backgrounds to use depending on the palette we’re translating and how to work the various layers, blending, dry, or pasty. We’ll explore studies of flowers, birds, and landscapes, as well as small life studies, figures, and faces. Go to adult courses

Oil painting course for adults (basic and advanced)
The course is aimed at both beginners and more advanced students who wish to experiment with various approaches to oil painting (copying, still life, palette knife painting, etc.). Throughout each phase of the work, students are guided at their own level, providing step-by-step guidance and suggestions, as well as any corrections that may be necessary to allow them to improve.

Drawing course for adults (basic and advanced)
The course is aimed at beginners or more advanced students who wish to deepen their knowledge of drawing. It offers two levels: basic and advanced. Throughout each phase of the course, students are guided at their own level, step by step, and corrections and demonstrations are provided to help them progress along the way.

CHILDREN & TEENAGERS ART CLASSES
This course is suitable for young beginners aged 8 to 11 who love drawing and painting and want to express their creativity. Various painting and graphic techniques are taught in a recreational way: from drawing with graphite, charcoal, ink, tempera and watercolors.
Schedule: Wednesday 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

TEENAGERS ART CLASSES (intermediate and advanced)
These two courses are aimed at children aged 12-16 who want to learn to draw, paint and explore their creativity. They are divided by level (intermediate and advanced) and a wide variety of painting and graphic techniques are taught: from graphite, charcoal and ink drawing, through watercolor and, finally, oil painting.
Hours: Tuesday 5:00-6:30 PM (intermediate level, approximately 12-13 years old) – Thursday 5:00-7:00 PM (advanced level, approximately 14-16 years old)
Limited course (maximum 8 children)

Preparing a portfolio
Students wishing to enter art academies and schools and prepare a portfolio can be guided through a series of life drawing exercises that will prepare them for the entrance exam. Possibility to register based on available places.

THE STUDENTS FINAL EXHIBITION
The exhibition, held at The White Garage, is in its tenth edition. The show has presented the best works produced by students (adults & children ) who followed the studio during the year : still-lifes, figure drawing, nude from life, landscape watercolors and pastels, mixed media. We retraced the main themes and techniques experimented by the students: from life drawing of still life, to the figure, passing through the nude from life, the landscape in water-colour and pastel, interiors with mixed techniques.
